Our Derbyshire showroom provides an extension to the premises of our Exclusive Stockists. A full range of John Sankey furniture is available to view here, in our inspirational and unique setting above our workshop.
Our showroom is open by appointment Monday – Friday (10am-3.30pm) and Saturday (10am-1pm). During your visit our showroom manager will guide you through our collection, helping you to find the shapes and fabrics that best suit your project. Please call our office to arrange your appointment on 01159462121 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Our showroom is a valuable resource for our interior design partners who wish to bring or arrange a visit for their clients.
While we are happy to advise on fabric and model choices, either over the phone or at our showroom, we do not offer an interior design service. We recommend that anyone who would like additional help with their design scheme works with an interior designer.
Width, height and depth and more detailed dimensions are displayed alongside each model on our website. Please remember that all sizes are approximate and are within a tolerance of +/- 3cm.
Yes, we have five standard leg finishes: Antique Oak, Blackened Oak, Distressed Oak, Grey Wash and Piano Black.
We hope that you will be happy with your John Sankey furniture for many years to come. In the unlikely event that you find an issue with your sofa or chair please contact either John Sankey or the Trade Partner who you purchased the piece from. The issue will first be investigated and we will work to try to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.
Most of our models can be made with removable legs to help with access issues. Some models have legs that are integral to the wooden frame and the frame must be redesigned to accommodate removable legs, on these models a surcharge will be applicable. Please email email@example.com to check model suitability
Some of our models come with castors as standard however these can be removed and the legs extended in place of the castor free of charge. Please specify if you would like castors removing when placing your order.
We select cushion fills to complement the unique spring system used in your upholstery. We can provide alternative seat cushion fillings for a surcharge, but please bear in mind these may change the sit and look of the sofa. If you would like to change your cushion filling please discuss this with us or with your John Sankey designer.
Yes, we can send you up to 5 fabric samples free of charge.
Yes, as well as our own range of velvets, flat weaves and leathers, we also welcome customer’s own material as long as it is suitable for upholstery and passes the relevant UK Fire Regulations.
Yes, most of our fabrics can be purchased by the metre. Please contact us for a quote.
Yes of course. We encourage our design partners to personalise pieces using unique combinations of fabric. Every piece is made to order and we can tailor it to suit your client’s style.
Yes, in order to guarantee delivery times, you will need to confirm your fabric choice at the time of placing your order as your order will not become workable until we have all fabric and fire certificate information.
Our furniture is made at our workshop in Long Eaton, Derbyshire by a talented team of frame builders, cutters, machinists and upholsterers. All of our furniture is checked by our finishing team before leaving the factory.
Yes, we offer a FIRA-endorsed lifetime guarantee for all frames and springs. To activate your guarantee please fill out the Lifetime Guarantee form on our website within 28 days of receiving your furniture. Fabric will wear depending on choice, usage and treatment. Please follow the care instructions for all fabrics used.
Online purchases benefit from our Made for Life scheme and are entitled to a free re-cover (subject to our Terms and Conditions). We can also quote for reupholstery of furniture purchased through our Exclusive Stockists.
