White Glove Delivery Service
At John Sankey, we give as much care and attention to the arrival of your pieces as went into the making of them.
We will organise in advance a timed delivery with you. Upon arrival, we carefully carry the items to your selected room and assemble / position in your required area. Please ensure prior to our arrival the room is accessible to two delivery people, either on the ground floor or via suitable stairs / elevator and without the need for mechanical lifting equipment. We do need to know in advance whether the furniture is to be taken to an upper level. This assists us in scheduling and giving accurate timing(s) as upper level deliveries take longer.
During the selection process of your order, please ensure that the access into the required location of your property is sufficient to accommodate our delivery team and your chosen furniture. If you see any potential issues with delivery due to access, please raise them at the time of ordering. It is your responsibility to make sure that the furniture you order from us can be easily carried through into your room of choice. Our delivery fees vary depending on the delivery address in mainland UK and the size of the furniture that is being delivered. We will provide you with the delivery costs at the time of placing your order, or any time at your request.
Should you wish to arrange your own transportation and delivery, collection from our factory can be arranged by mutual agreement. Please note that all fees would need to be negotiated and paid directly to your transporter and John Sankey cannot accept any responsibility for damage incurred during the delivery process.
Your John Sankey furniture delivery is carbon neutral. This means that we pay a portion of the delivery fee to carbon offsetting programmes to ensure that the delivery process is sustainable.
We will also make sure to remove all packaging, and take it away with us for recycling when we leave.
We are able to remove old furniture for you at the time of delivery, but please let us know at the time of ordering so we can provide a cost estimate then. We try our very best to recycle your old furniture and avoid it finding its way into landfill.
Every piece of John Sankey furniture is manufactured to the highest possible standard and we strive to ensure that the quality and care adopted in all our processes is reflected in the finished product(s) that arrive in your home. At the end of the delivery and installation our team will ask for a signature to acknowledge that the items have been received in good condition. Please note at this stage it is your responsibility to inspect the pieces and should there be any issues bring it to the attention of our team. Our standard delivery time is 8-10 weeks from receipt of order. For some products it may take longer so it is important that you check the estimated delivery date prior to purchasing.
The estimated delivery time is provided to you at the time of ordering. We will update you of any change to that estimated delivery date in the unlikely event that we cannot deliver on time.
We are proud of our 97% on-time delivery record so any delay is very rare indeed.
All orders will be acknowledged by our team with an approximate delivery date. At this stage, the quoted date will always be an estimated week ending date rather than an actual date. It is always helpful if you can make us aware at the time of receiving the acknowledgement of any preferred days or days you cannot accept delivery and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred date.
Approximately 5-10 days prior to delivery, we will contact you to confirm the actual delivery date. Usually about 24 hours before delivery, you’ll be notified of a time slot, once the delivery route has been planned.

What to expect prior to and on delivery
You are required to take delivery on the agreed date. Unfortunately, if you (a) cancel the delivery later than 8am 2 days prior to your delivery date or (b) are not available to accept the delivery when it arrives, you may be charged redelivery fees as well as storage charges in addition to the original delivery fee. It’s quite important to pay attention to this, and to know that all payments will be due before redelivery.
During the delivery, we just need access into the property and advising on location and positioning of the furniture. Our delivery team will remove all packaging and assemble where necessary.
